WORSHIP WITH US

Come Visit Us This Sunday

JOIN US AT THE SERVICE THAT FITS YOU

*03/24 – Special Palm Sunday One Blended Service Only – 10:00 a.m.

*03/31 – Special Easter Service Times: 7:00 a.m. Sunrise Service, 9:00 a.m. Traditional Service, & 11:00 a.m. Contemporary Service.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

There is something about gathering just as we are, in all our joy and sorrow, strength and weakness, seeking to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. What an incredible honor it is to sing praises to our Lord, Jesus Christ and hear the truth of his word and work proclaimed. We offer both traditional and contemporary worship services here and would love for you to join us.

Sunday Traditional Service – 8:45 AM

In our traditional service, the pastors wear clergy robes, acolytes light the altar candles, and the Sanctuary Choir leads the music. The order of worship includes elements like The Lord’s Prayer and The Apostles Creed.

If you miss the service in person, you can listen to a recording of it on WBHY 103.3 FM at Noon on Sundays.

Sunday Contemporary Service – 11:00 AM

Join in on the experience of worshiping God in our Contemporary Worship service. In our contemporary service you can expect an authentic worship service where people are casually dressed and ready to worship God. We sing contemporary praise and worship music led by a band and both clergy and lay members lead the worship. You are invited to sit or stand, raise your hands or not, clap or not. It really is up to you. The main thing that you can expect is the freedom to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. You will hear a great message that will speak practical Biblical truth into your life and a group of people that will surround you and support you as we travel through this great journey of life together.

This service is streamed live on our Facebook page, can be located on our YouTube channel, and found on our website.

We recognize the two sacraments in which Christ himself participated: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

COMMUNION

The Lord’s Supper is a holy meal of bread and wine that symbolizes the body and blood of Christ.  It recalls the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and celebrates the unity of all the members of God’s family.  By sharing this meal, we give thanks for Christ’s sacrifice and are nourished and empowered to go into the world in mission and ministry.

We practice “open communion,” welcoming all who love Christ, repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another.

**Communion Elements | In an effort to keep our congregation members safely connected, we are offering a socially distanced option for communion. If you or someone you know is unable to be physically present for worship, you may come by the church office to pick up individually packaged communion elements. These will be available during the week prior to each communion Sunday (typically the first Sunday of each month). Tune in to our Live-Stream or Radio Broadcast as you actively participate in the blessing and receiving of Holy Communion from your home.  If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie.

BAPTISMS

Through baptism we are joined with the church and with Christians everywhere.

  • Baptism is a symbol of new life and a sign of God’s love and forgiveness of our sins.
  • Persons of any age can be baptized.
  • We baptize by sprinkling, immersion or pouring.
  • A person receives the sacrament of baptism only once in his or her life.

Read By Water and Spirit, the church’s official statement on baptism.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a baptism, please call the church office at 251-626-1334.

WEDDINGS

Committed to helping young people grow in their relationship with Jesus. We put a high priority on equipping teenagers with the truth of God’s Word.

Wedding is one of the happiest and most sacred moments in life.  As two Christian people join their lives to establish a Christian home, the church rejoices with them.  Spanish Fort United Methodist Church is eager to make the occasion of a wedding both beautiful and memorable.  Remember that a wedding is a service of worship as well as one of  celebration. Our church wedding policies further reflect our desire to uphold the sanctity of wedding ceremonies.  Please keep the following policies in mind when planning your wedding at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.

FUNERALS

When a loved one passes, we here at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church recognize death and bereavement, and celebrate the gospel of resurrection through funeral services and memorials.

During these times, there is often deep grief and pain as we deal with the loss. It can also be a very stressful time for those tasked with making final arrangements and coordinating with others.   At Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, our pastors and congregational care ministry are honored to provide care and support during these difficult times.

If you have a death in your family and would like to have the service at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, for one of our ministers to officiate at another location, or need prayer please call the church office at 251-626-1334.

As a United Methodist
faith community

We welcome all who seek to follow and serve Jesus Christ. We believe that our relationship with God is centered solely on God’s love and grace.
