Connect

The slow, beautiful work of becoming a family.

Church is more than a place you show up for an hour on Sundays. Your name matters here, and we want our congregation to know each other.

Start Simple

Sunday morning fellowship

The hour between the two worship services is its own ministry. The coffee station, the donuts, the lingering conversations in the narthex and the parking lot are a chance to catch up and connect. Stay a few extra minutes, find someone you do not know, and introduce yourself.

If you are a guest, fill out the attendance pad during worship and someone will reach out within the week. The staff is here to help you find your people.

Groups

Find your people

Fellowship Groups

Small gatherings of church members who meet regularly. Some are organized around a hobby, like woodworking, crafting, games, or knitting. Some around a life stage. Some around nothing more than the desire to know one another better.

Supper Clubs

Eight to twelve people who gather monthly for a shared dinner, rotating between members' homes or meeting at a restaurant. The structure is simple, the commitment is light, and the friendships are real.

Men's & Women's Groups

Monthly gatherings for meals and fellowship. Email srpastor@spanishfortumc.org to learn more.

The Mahjong Fellowship Group at play

Mahjong

Every Wednesday evening at 5:30, the Mahjong Fellowship Group meets in the Youth Area at the West Campus to play, and welcomes anyone who wants to learn. All skill levels, including total beginners.

No Book Book Club

Every month the No Book Book Club meets at The Hawthorn Tea Room in Daphne for tea, meaningful conversation, and fellowship. There is no assigned reading and no homework.

PrimeTimers gathered for lunch

PrimeTimers

A fellowship ministry for adults 55 and older: monthly outings, local day trips, meals, and special events, often traveling together on the church bus. Whether you are new to the church or have been here for years, you are invited.

“The first step is simply to come. The second step is to come back. The third step is to let someone know your name.”

All Together

Churchwide gatherings

Throughout the year, the church hosts gatherings that bring the whole congregation and the whole community together.
