Coffee Talk Bible Study – Jonah | January 14 | 9:00 a.m. | WD101, West Campus | Cost $16 | Join us as we study Epic of Eden: Jonah by Sandra Richter. When most people think about the book of Jonah, they think about a children’s story. Others think about a story they’ve heard so many times there could not possibly be anything new to learn from it. Well strap in, because this study is designed to prove all those assumptions wrong! Led by Rev. Rebecca Rutherford. Study guide is $16 and will be available in the church office. Blue Lake Winter Retreat – Love God. Love Others | January 31-February 2 | 3rd – 5th Grade | Come join us for an exciting weekend to experience God, make new friends, and have fun! Puppet Workshop Fundraiser | February 16 | 3:00 p.m. | WD104, West Campus | Inviting all K4 (rising Kindergarteners) though 5th graders to join us for our annual Agape Hands Puppet Workshop from 3:00-5:00 p.m. This event lets children learn about puppetry and worship arts and helps our puppet team offset costs for their summer tour. Participants will get to create their very own puppet, learn basic puppet skills, have a snack, and even get to perform a puppet show for parents at the end of the workshop. Parents are asked to come at 4:45 p.m. for the show. Register at HERE.
Men’s Retreat | February 22 & 23 | Camp Baldwin | All men are invited to register for this year’s retreat as we spend time in God’s word, fellowship, eat and hear from our guest speaker, Dr. Allan Coppedge. Quest for Holiness: From Deadly Sin to Diving Virtue – Churchwide Sermon Series & Study | Starts February 23 | Join us for an 8 session, churchwide sermon series. All Sunday School and small groups are invited to participate in the accompanying study during this time. The series and study delve into the seven sins and their counterparts, the seven virtues. The books are $10 and can be picked up in the church office soon. Contact the church office for more details.
Costa Rica Mission Trips | June 6-13, 2020 and June 13-20, 2020 | There will be two trips going to Costa Rica this year. A deposit of $200 is due now. The total cost for one week is $1,500 and for the entire two weeks it is $2000. Adults and youth will be doing construction work and children’s ministry at the Methodist church in Palmares, Costa Rica. Chattanooga Youth Mission Trip | July 5-10 | The cost is $400 and a deposit of $100 is due by January 26. The trip is open to completed 7th-12th graders. Women of the Word Bible Study | Wednesdays | 6:00 p.m. | WD101, West Campus | We are studying “Set Apart” by Jessica LaGrone. Our group is open to women of all ages that enjoy the adventure of studying God’s word together. Contact the church office for more details.
Now Enrolling: Kindermusik with Ms. Bonnie | Ms. Bonnie is accepting new students for her weekly Mommy – and – Me Music and Movement classes, for ages 4 months to 4 years old. Fee is $25/month.
