Mission Effort from our Children's Ministry 2017-2018
For the 2017-2018 year, our mission focus will be UMCOR Relief Health Kits. We will collect (and eventually assemble) UMCOR Health Relief Kits. UMCOR is a ministry of The United Methodist Church that is dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR’s work includes programs and projects in disaster response, health, sustainable agriculture, food security, relief supplies, and more.
The children will participate and support this organization within The United Methodist Church by working to collect the different supplies necessary for UMCOR Health Kits that will be sent to aid their efforts around the globe. Our goal is for each month throughout the entire year we will designate a different supply item required by UMCOR for the Relief Health Kit, and that we will focus on collecting and do so for the duration of that month. In the Spring after we have collected all the items required, the children will have the opportunity to help assemble the kits.

January 9, 2018 - Ruth Study - Lunch Bunch...(In Progress) The Women’s Tuesday Lunch Bunch will be doing a Bible Study on the book of Ruth beginning January 9th for six weeks. This is an actual study into one of the only two books of the Bible that are named after a woman. Ruth is a story about three characters and the story of redemption. It’s about being an outsider who becomes an insider because of a kinsman redeemer. It also contains the genealogy of our Christ.
This study is filmed with Dr. Sandra Richter who also wrote The Epic of Eden. This study is geared for those who have never studied a book in the Bible in depth before but is also for those of you who have. There is no pressure to complete homework, though there is a study guide that will help you along the way (Cost is $15). We will order these ahead of time and have them for you on the first day of class so it is important that you register so we have an adequate number of books. Before you come, I would suggest that you get familiar with the book of Ruth by reading through it in one setting (I know that’s not always possible with small children - so do your best). There are only four chapters in the book of Ruth.

Sanctuary Renewal Project
It has been proposed and accepted that we will make repairs and updates to the Sanctuary that will enhance your worship experience. We are considering packaging several Sanctuary repairs and updates into one cohesive effort so that we only have to vacate the Sanctuary once.
Below, you can check out some of the various reports and testimonials used in creating this project. Please review these items before attending one of the two informational meetings coming up soon.
If you have any questions please contact the church office at 251-626-1334.
